Case Study: Daisy Seeds - Generosity Feeds
Project
A5 Flyer Design for Community Engagement
Client and Brief
Daisy Seeds needed an A5 flyer for local pop-ups and community events. The goal was to spark curiosity, encourage interaction, and guide attendees to helpful resources.
As a freelance marketing consultant and designer, I was responsible for everything from understanding the client’s objectives to creating the final printed materials, ensuring a seamless, strategy-driven approach.
The Challenge
The client wanted a flyer that was:
-
Inviting and visually engaging
-
Clear and easy to read at events
-
Reflective of their warm, community-focused brand
The challenge was to balance marketing effectiveness with creative design, making sure the flyer not only attracted attention but encouraged meaningful action.

Strategy
I approached the project as a freelance end-to-end solution, focusing on:
-
Audience engagement: Designing questions and prompts that drew people in at events
-
Messaging clarity: Structuring content to guide readers naturally from curiosity to action
-
Brand consistency: Using colours, typography, and floral accents aligned with existing branding
-
Practicality: Ensuring size and layout worked for event distribution and easy handling
Every design choice was made with purpose and marketing impact in mind.
Execution
-
Created the layout in Adobe InDesign for professional print quality
-
Designed illustrations and accents in Adobe Illustrator to maintain brand personality
-
Produced event-ready A5 double-sided flyers, fully print-ready
-
Developed mock-ups in Canva to preview real-world usage before print
Deliverables
-
A visually cohesive, approachable flyer that encouraged engagement
-
Clear information hierarchy to make action simple for attendees

Printable and digital mock-ups for ongoing use

"I felt a genuine connection with Louise right from the start. The whole process was really smooth and easy, all managed through email. I shared my initial ideas, and we worked together on small changes along the way to shape the final design.
In the end, the flyer looked different to what I first imagined, but it turned out even better. Louise’s graphic design knowledge and creative input really helped bring everything together.
She was so patient and easy to work with. I’d definitely recommend Crafty Penguin to anyone looking for a reliable and talented graphic designer"
