Welcome

Hi, I’m Louise Cranstone-Spooner, a creative professional with a passion for marketing, branding, and design. My journey into creativity began as a child, sketching my favourite cartoon characters and building makeshift skateboards from old worktops and spare wheels. That early curiosity evolved into a career in marketing and graphic design, where I combine strategic thinking with artistic flair to create impactful visuals.

As Marketing Manager at SurfacePrep UK, I lead strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and engagement. From digital marketing and content creation to event planning and social media management, I ensure our brand connects meaningfully with its audience. My efforts have contributed to award-winning success, with SurfacePrep UK being recognised at both the unLTD Business Awards and the UK Business Awards, celebrating our innovation and excellence in the industry.

Beyond marketing and design, I’m deeply involved in sport—ice hockey has played a huge role in my life, from refereeing and playing to supporting my local team. More recently, I’ve taken up ball hockey (think ice hockey, but without the skates!), and I’m always looking for new ways to stay active, including hitting the slopes for snowboarding.

Bringing together creativity, strategy, and a competitive spirit, I approach every project with energy and a fresh perspective. Let’s collaborate to bring your ideas to life with precision and originality.

Education and Professional Development

I hold a BA Hons in Media Production and a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism. My academic journey continued with a PGCE in Design Technology, followed by an MA in Design Education.

In addition to these qualifications, I have completed specialised courses in Marketing, Graphic Design and Adobe Creative Cloud programs to further enhance my technical skills and creative capabilities.

I am also a proud member of the Girls in Marketing community and also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, where I stay connected with industry trends and collaborate with like-minded professionals.
